Building.

Queentokitchen Living.

The 10-storey boutique building will feature large balconies and terraces to rest, grow and lounge. A green roof will be perfect habitat for both flora and fauna. Planter boxes will welcome butterflies and birds. Also a façade of greenery on a large exterior accent wall are just a few of the architectural details that abound. The Plant will also embrace a vibrant street level. Maybe a café or a florist. Perhaps a spin studio or boutique retailer. Upstairs some great office space. And from your home at The Plant, it’s all imminently accessible. Shop around and bring it home. You have a favourite restaurant or 10 and they are all around the corner. Then there’s a boutique store or four. A café and more. Vogue Magazine didn’t call Queen West one of the coolest streets in the world for nothin’.

Plant yourself here.

Enter The Plant. Quaint stores outside, office space on the second floor and boutique condo living throughout, makes for a vibrant eco-system. A modern “light-well” streams natural light and drama throughout the entrance, whether you’re consulting the concierge or parking your ride at the swanky heated bike parking in the lobby. Inside, The Plant was designed with terrace-to-table living in mind. Also the suite layouts are wide rather than narrow, to provide more natural light. And a place to enjoy good food and better conversation is important too. So we honed in on large eat-in kitchen areas, complete with optional custom integrated wood table extensions. Upgrade your suite with more pantry space for storage, as well as, the option to integrate custom sculptural industrial metal racking throughout the kitchen. The Plant was designed with extra large balconies and private terraces too, because it’s nice to have outdoor living space wherever possible. Looking at a roomy 3 Storey Town, 4-bedroom Suite or a smaller condo? The philosophy is the same. Grow. Live. Repeat.

When it comes to amenity space, cook up a storm. Or chill. This communal area is a place for planting, picking, chatting and laughing. There are garden plots and eating areas. Residence garden planters mimic the custom industrial metal found in the suites and plenty of comfy seating means hanging out for a little while with sublime lounge seating that’s perfect for friends or focusing on things. Outside there are also BBQ’s and views and just inside is the conveniently close industrial-style kitchen. Pick, cook, can, preserve. And then eat it all up. Welcome to a different way of living downtown. More responsible. More homegrown. Much more delicious.

Starts
From The
Ground Up.

The Plant is designed with living in mind, for both people and the environment. Beyond the plants, the food and the suites, there’s the building and architecture itself. It has to be embracing the pursuit of building better. Enter geo-thermal heating, LED lighting, low-VOC materials and a long list of other technical building envelope details that are often ignored because they’re unseen.

The common amenity space will include communal urban garden areas, as well as utilizing inventive areas in every suite for growing. Also, an on-site cistern will be utilized for irrigation rather than letting it run-off into the sewer system and more efficient building material & practices are utilized wherever possible. Then beyond the bricks and mortar, there’s the living local lifestyle. The great shopping and restaurants are great, but transportation is a big part of it all too. You can bike most anywhere. And biking is a big part of our “sustainable transport” plan at The Plant. That’s why we have a heated bike parking lobby area and a bike repair zone. Streetcars are a stroll away too. So, getting to and from work and getting around town has never been easier.
