After his time at Bar Isabel and Bar Raval, Chef Guy Rawlings found his passion. It included opening a restaurant with his wife, Kim Montgomery Rawlings. The 50-seat spot aims to serve “Canadian” dishes using local ingredients. Even making the effort to substitute imported ingredients (like lemon and olive oil), making house-made vinegars and fermenting and canning food on-site for flavour and experimentation. As for Urban Gardening, they’re aiming to work with the local organization, Toronto Urban Growers. Also, The Toronto Star’s Amy Pataki has already given them 4 out of 4 stars. All that said, Montgomery’s on Queen Street, has already become part of the neighbourhood.
